Why are spells supposed to be kept a secret?

Answer:

The human brain is not supposed to understand how spells work, they in fact work in a way the human brain cannot understand - they are not natural, but supernatural. To analyse a spell and discuss it with friends means you are interfering in the way your spell will work, the more you do it, the less power your spell will have.

Spells work best if you leave them alone to get on with things, this is why I never ask a client to do a thing!
